I have been in management & leadership roles since I was 17 years old. I have over 25 years experience as a pilot including 10 years in management and 7 years in training and checking roles. These positions have helped to define me and the way in which I deal with other people.
I have developed a very strong attention to detail and love working with numbers as well as helping other people to grow and reach their potential.
I have started up and managed the finances for 3 small businesses, including a farm, and am currently working alongside Claire in the restructuring and development of a laundry & car wash business.
When I am not busy helping small business owners get the most out of their business I have held voluntary positions as a Treasurer for a NSW RFS brigade and an Arts Festival (section 355 committee of the council).
I love to spend time with my family and enjoy going for bike rides with my young daughters. We spend time outside working on the veggie gardens and playing games in the back yard. Family is special to me and I understand how important it is to be here for them as my children grow and to spend quality time with them and my wonderful wife.
I have extensive experience in customer service, accounts payable, logistic planning, workflow management and marketing.
I have worked in various roles in insurance claim departments and management as well as a team leader for a national logistic planning and management provider.
I have also worked as a receptionist and in the accounts payable department for a national fishing operator.
In my role as a administrative assistant for a franchisee of a national real estate agency, I was responsible for creating, editing and producing a wide variety or marketing materials.
Taking 5 years off to raise two young girls, I have recently returned to the workforce as the owner / operator of a laundry and car wash business. Working alongside Darryl there have been many changes made to the business to be able to survive impact of the 2019/20 bushfires and Coronavirus. The business has recently taken up house cleaning and is shortly to become a registered NDIS provider.
My personal interests include spending time with family, knitting, reading and crafting.
